McMaster Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com/#)is a great place to find ANY type of attachment. I used their wing head M8 80mm 1.25 thumb screws (part #92595A518) on my 2008 Nomad 1600. I tried the bolt caps and they worked for a little while then just got loose and fell off. Tried to epoxy them also but I guess just not enough surface to make it stick. The wing bolts work great.

I am surprised no one tried to use DZUS fasteners like HD does.

I wonder if putting studs on and using thumb nuts would be better?
