Snow in Alabama, Again (Now With Pictures)
Here at my house we had snow on Christmas Day. Only about 2 inches but north of me at Huntsville, Alabama they had 4 to 5 inches.
Tonight around 6 PM it started sleeting. Then around 7 PM it started snowing and is still snowing. I guess we have 3 to 4 inches at the house now. We could get up to 8 to 10 inches. Supposed to snow all night and most of the day tomorrow. The temps aren't going to get above freezing so what snow we get is going to stay a few days. Here in the south we don't have much of anything in snow removal equipment. That means everything comes to a virtual standstill. I know for the people up north you get a lot more snow than us. But, 1 inch for us is like you getting 10 inches. I took some pictures tonight and will get up and take more tomorrow and will try to post them so you can see what it looks like for Alabama and the south to have snow. Gene
