AMERICADE?

I didn't read every post so if this has been said,Sorry.
We have been to Americade 4 times. Lots of bikes, well organozed, tons of venders in Lake George and surounding towns.
You pay to get into the vender area.
If you go , buy a parking permit for $5. It allows you to park anywhere all day. Last time I was there the police were giving out parking tickets if you didn't have one.
Don't plan on going again but if I did I would stay in a motel near South Glenns Falls. Much cheaper and you don't have to reserve a week stay.

Good point on the parking pass... If you go to the main HQ's you buy a bracelet $20.00 per day and you have access to the tour expo, 2 locations in town, [and they have had most of the demos at the Roaring Brook Ranch in the past] you needed a bracelet to get into the Ranch. I don't think thats a bad price. You can buy a bracelet for the entire week at a discount before a certain date, that escapes me.
There are some changes that they have made for this year. They have moved the HQ's and I have heard that other long time rented venues are being moved as well. They will send a schedule and where everything is going to be, by simply asking at their website.

This years Americade is the week before the National Rally

Well now don't be hasty Scott.
Americade is the week before the National.
You could ride up to NY and go to Americade then swing down to the National on your way home.

Some of us do have to work for a living. I can't take that much time off.

AMERICADE?

went past two years and enjoy the riding in the adirondacks but like laconia its wet every year! we stayed at the hampton inn they just converted to all non-smoking last year, have a pool and hot tub, and breakfast, wasn't bad. ate at the log jam amongst other places. more touring bikes especially goldwings i noticed there than laconia but a bunch of people go from americaide to laconia, because as americaide ends laconia begins, makes for a nice ride too. good luck maybe i will see u there!

The ranch is not headquarters this year. They are going to setup at Fort William Henery (spelling may be wrong). It is right in the center of town on the lake.

Yep, they are going to have everything in the center of town, should be easier for everyone.
