2) I would recommend people put in a crank case vent for the front jug, and also remove the hole where you pipe in the crankcase fumes. Keeps the filter clean, removes some more tubing, and cost about $10 for parts at AutoZone. Maybe you could just add that in the kit for a few more bucks.
3) I would also recommend people get that crossover tube out. It is a pain, but will reduce heat between jugs, and removed more useless parts.
I like your idea's..... If

The reason I put the IACS holes in the plate is some people don't want to remove things and not beable to go back if they ever want to.

Crank case breather, I would leave it in there, as it won't get the filter dirty as it is inside already and it will burn the any oil residue going into the throttle body/engine. That external filter will get dirty quick.

Yes the cross over tube. I personally still have mine in as I just couldn't bring myself to take it out. You can remove it in whole, if you remove the intake fro the jugs. It will pull right out, but again some people don't want to do that just incase they want to return to stock.

I have had oil pooled up in both my OEM airboxes so far, so it does not all get burned up efficiently. There was a rubber bulb on the 900 that you needed to drain as oil would collect in it. If the external filter gets dirty, no big, its barely seen in front of jug 1. Heck I almost just ran the hose straight to towards the ground with no filter.

The IACS tubes are attached to the throttle body with rubber hoses.

They would be easy to reattach.

I like the way Joe set mine up with only the air sensor port.

I like the way you have it set up Joe simply because I have 3 yrs of warranty left. It's so easy and quick to go back stock if you need to bring it in to the dealer for any warranty work. Even if the work doesn't have any relationship with the mods you can bet they will make note of what's been modified. The shop foreman that was at my dealership when I purchased my bike told me that the first question from Kaw is what mods have been installed. They take it from there and it just isn't worth hiring a lawyer to fight them if they won't warrant the repairs. If I bring mine in for engine performance problems I will go back with the stock intake just to satisfy my own curiosity and will leave it stock before bringing it in. That's the only reason I haven't pulled the reed valves and installed coasters. If I still have my Nomad when the extended warranty expires I will rip out all of the unneeded plumbing for the cleaner look.

I'll be working with Billmac on installing his dual plate intake this weekend. We'll post some pictures for you Pastor with a writeup.

George, you leaving the left side naked? I am back and forth on it. I like removing what's just dead weight, and allowing more cool air to flow in there, but the look needs something. Between the fuel line, and cam chain tensioners jutting out, I don't know. I have my cover on for now.

It is going to stay naked, cut the cross over tube into pieces to remove it easily. Love the look and the air flow that it allows in.
