Good news for once
Some of you know that I had a summer on a cane and cruches because my left hip was giving me trouble. It started in March with a little bit of pain going up and down stairs. In June I thought it was getting better then in July after my daughters wedding I could hardly walk. Went to the Dr near the first of August to confirm what we thought it was. I had the same thing in my right hip in 2007 and it too healed up and went away.
They diagnosed it as transient osteoporosis of the hip. Comes and goes and hurts when it is at a peak. The August MRI showed a de-calciified femur and that is when the Dr put me on crutches for two weeks because he was concerned that I would break my hip. Three weeks later I walked into his office with no pain. He called me an "Enigma". HA Dr. requested a bone scan and another blood test and I agreed because he could not believe that I was okay. That test was done about 5 weeks after the MRI and it was normall.?!?!? When the tech told me what she was seeing in my left hip I asked her to run one on the right hip as a baseline because it was solid in the August MRI. It came back with the same desity reading. So, this is a mystery but one that I can happily live with. No pain, no crutches, able to ride the Nomad and fly fish with no problem. I am very greatful. Thank you Lord.
