BD that cross over tube had walls at 90 degrees and changes the direction of air seemingly at random killing a clean air flow. I agree with Cj.

Thanks Jared.....I put a couple of washers at each bolt between the left side stock plate and the bracket that it bolts to. This allowed the air duct to move away from Chuckster's inside plate just enough to get it out of a bind where the crankcase breather hose was hitting it. Picked up the K&N recharge kit last night and oiled up the new filter. I'm ready to roll towards OK Wednesday morning. Reset the #1 and #2 pots on the TFI. I'm curious to see how the mpg's will be on the long trip.

Your probably right mac. I did read an article however where a guy had the right side K&N and like I said he moved it to the left because he couldn't stand the intake noise and I believed dynoed within 1 hp of the right side.... If that's the case.... I'll see if I can find it...

I look forward to seeing your setup in Antlers Mitch. I plan on changing to aftermarket pipes and installing Chucksters dual plate air intake in the near future. Hopefully you can show me how.

No problem Joe. We'll get together at the motel and give it a look. Ride safe.

Bill and Joe you should be able to look and see what you would like to do to your bikes as Mitch has the double dogdish with 7" filter and Jamie has the right side changed to a 9" open air filter and the left side is stock, and I have the 9" open air on the right and a Harley horn on the left so y'all will have lots of options

Sounds good, Jim. I have a 9inch spector that I never installed. It looked too big and I heard you have to listen to solenoids click or make the bike not idle when cold. Well it gave me cold feet. Now my bike is about to go out of warranty and I am thinking about doing the mod anyway. Will be great to see all the options.
