It might be sad for coach but as a wife of a football coach and mother of 4 boys, I am looking forward to having free Friday nights, and having my husband around on Sat and Sundays. I figure between varsity, jr varsity, middle school, and flag football, I have probably sat through easily over 600 football games. If you are familiar with Florida you know that would be in the heat not a cool, crisp, Friday evening like most of you get to experience. Congratulations honey, I know you will do a great job!

Congratulations there Coach.
Oooooh after coaching for 30 yrs, you're going to go thru some serious withdrawls when next season starts. You're going to feel so helpless cause you can't be out there teaching the "kids".
You're gonna need more motorcycle rides just to keep you away from the "doctors couch".

Way to go Ron, I know in some ways you will miss the day to day action of the game, but in other ways you will enjoy the freedom you will have. so again congrats!

Thank you all. Taminator and I moved my office today and I still have a few things to do in the new one but I'm basically in. Had a couple things already cross my desk, kind of weird being the one in charge but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

As a family, we are going into our 28th year at the high school and have always been a part of some team or program. I guess now we will be every programs biggest supporters. Once I'm out of football, it will be fun to go see some of the sports I was once part of as a coach or others that I haven't seen in quite some time.
