For any of you that like the metric system.
I got 6.23 Litres per 100 km today. Which is between 37 - 45 mpg depending on which conversion system is used. Most of that was 2 up (over 400 lbs combined) and between 80 - 100 km/h. With about 9 red light waits. And taking it easy on the roll away. Burning 91 octane, with the 2 plate intake system, de-baffled stock pipes. No fuel processor. Air temp 13-15 Celsius, we're roughly 1,084 meters or 3,550' above sea level.

With no engine mods I have averaged 6.4l/100km or 36.5 usmpg this year (1987miles). Big range in tanks though with a low of 31.2 usmpg and a high of 45.8 usmpg. Highs come from road trips when it was too cold to go fast and lows mainly around town when it too cold to go slow :).

Is everyone calculating their MPG by their bikes odometer? How accurate is that? Also any account being taken for various tire heights?

The HD is very likely to be double wall pipe, not single wall. So long as you understand what the hyper charger does, then it's cool. A lot guys want it to pack in a lot more air, and it just won't. No impelors.. ::) I think they look cool, and if i could get one cheap I would install it, but a little different. I would make the flappers manual. Open them to ride and close them when parked. I don't agree a bit to the way they flap with a running engine. It defeats a smooth clean air flow, right from the get go. When the engine pulse has vacuum the flapers tend to close, and when there is no vac uum they tend to be open by the spring. The fluttering is just a nuisance. Hi test in the nawth country in winta' is a royal sin. The delay in a quick burn n' flash can be the difference from a engine that starts to one that is gonna flood. We get a little colder than any place in Hi though, something a bit closer to weatha' in Alaska, like -40 below 0 'F'. What goes boom fast is good! ![]() It can also be a cleaner burn and therfore less carbon build..

Based on my GPS my speed is off by about 8% but the odometer is only off by ~2% (shows more miles than actual). In calculating mileage I assume the odometer to be correct even if its not. Make me feel better!

I'm within 1 km between my bike and truck, to work, so I assume the bikes OD is good. Never checked the speedo, keep getting passed when driving the speed limit indicated on bike so I assume it's not correct.
