What did Santa Bring you?

Got a new (slightly used 2008) Gold Wing. That was my Christmas gift to myself. Also got a trip to the ER on Christmas morning. I was trying to open a battery pack for my new Olympus camera using a very sharp bladed carving knife. Good thing it wasn't on my throttle hand. Ha

No ID anywhere, and that makes me curious.
I did the holsters myself Mac. My wife and her younger sister are taking the CCW course in early February. ;) That makes me happy because before I got mine she didn't have very much interest. I'll feel alot better with her carrying with the way things are today. We need to spend some time at the range before the class so I can be sure she will pass the hands on demonstration. Her sister won't have any problem, she's very good with handguns and long guns.

I got to spend my 21st friggin year with my in laws on the wifes side. :(" title="" border="0"/>
They are Christians.. and I don't mean regular Christians, but those friggin fanatic Christians!!
Total opposites of me!!

I got $400.00 to start my addition to my shop to add a welding room from my wife!
I guess she's getting tired of all the metal dust on her 41 Plymouth.

Anyone who knows her knows she loves anything PURPLE!
So I powder coated her lawnmower purple.
Don't laugh, she loved it! She would rather push her lawnmower then ride the riding mower we have. We both do the yard work together.

The best was that we spent the weekend together! ;)
I love my wife!

Hey Wompus, add a little gold to the lawnmower and it'll be a Tigermower.

Looks like CoachA's wife Tammy liked that BD look. Put a nice pressed seam on those jeans and shirts and there you have it.

warning::::::: this one is way OT.......

Cajunrider, one can get all the training in the world and still not get the mind set. I don't have any idea on how to teach that mind set, for self defence. try to get it for everyone you know that is as concerned as you.

There is a big differece from shooting papers to shooting bad guys. :'(

What did Santa Bring you?

Santa brought me a shop manual for my bike. Really nice to stop doing things by guessing!

The mindset you are talking about is either already there as a survival instinct or it comes with time and training. She watches the same news and reads the same newspaper that I do so she knows what kind of monsters there are running free waiting for an opportunity to rob, rape, or murder someone they perceive as weak. As far as carrying goes, she knows that it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

What did Santa Bring you?

I go the home version of the Buck Hunter Pro arcade game.

Best present was my 2 yr old son waking up and seeing all the gifts under the tree and hearing him say "Presents" for the first time. It is truly magical when they first understand what is going on. My daughter is 3 and this year she asked me for a specific gift for Christmas for the first time. Of course I had to buy it, it was just a doll. Kids really make the holiday alot more fun

[quote author=blowndodge board=offnomad thread=14866 post=234955 time=1262040643]I'd be afraid to admit that my wife has a lawnmower!!!

My wife is a one of a kind, ask anyone who ever met her.
A very sweet lady who loves fishing, motorcycle riding, has her own street rod, and loves yard work. She even has her own tool box, drill, and other things most men don't have.
She wanted her own mower and it was my idea to powder coat it purple for her. She had her own riding mower but would rather push instead of ride. (Should I get her a Harley?) <GMAO>

She loves ANYTHING purple, and even has purple leathers when we go riding!

Never , and I mean NEVER complains, even after a 10,000 mile ride out west through rain, cold, heat and wind! She doesn't want her own bike but loves being a passenger mine.
Over 20 years together and not one single argument of any kind!! How many guys can say that about their wives!???

If she asked me to get rid of my bike I'd do it in a second....but I know that will never happen....
