Well, spoke with the dealership yesterday and they said all of the parts finally came in and they assignesd a mechanic to the job which will take about 2 days. I will be picking her up Friday and then we are back on the road! I can't wait!

Did I mention SWB? Anyone living in Mesquite, TX with a karma level of -734 can only pick up their bikes from the dealership on the first day of each December. Bummer dude.

He and I texted back and forth a few days ago. I think he's expecting to be riding his Nomad by this coming Friday if the mechanic doesn't find more hidden damage.

He was but they found more internal damage and had to order more parts.

Sorry, forgot to update. I got a call last thur from the svc manager and he said they found another broken bushing and bearing that they hadn't found before that needed to be replaced...so supposedly the parts will be here today and the bike ready by this Thursday. All I can say is I am glad that they found all of this and that my baby will will be practically brand new when I get her back!

Got her back last week and she's running great. I have noticed some issues with my LED's like some aren't working and I also have some questions about a rubber tube that looks like it should be attached, but isn't and actually looks like it was cut. I'm going to see if I can get her in tomorrow to get these things worked out. Whatever they can do, I'll take, but I'm not leaving her that long again. I have noticed with the mechanics at this dealership, this kind of thing happens from time to time.

Overall though, I'm just glad to be riding again!

Great that it is finally back. Your story got my butt in gear and I got on ebay and bought the extended warranty. I don't usually buy these but $355 for 4 years peace of mind seemed like a better deal than the 3-5000 repair bill you were likely facing.

Well, she's back at the dealership. I have a leak from the front, not sure exactly what it is, but having it checked and fixed. I was out on a ride yesterday and got splattered by whatever, maybe water? Not sure, but I expect it to be fixed this coming week. Oh well, she'll still be great when I get her back.
