I've adjusted mine three times. Each time I added a couple of scratches. I thought it was really clean, used windex and a paper towel but it still scratched.
You shouldn't use Windex on your windshield!!!

I knew you guys would start to see the finer points of my personality if I stayed here long enough ::)
By the way Beez, I use Windex and paper towles ever since I've had motorcycles. No scratches yet.

glassgod, I just used regular rattle can enamel.

tomk, they say if you use anything on the shield except soap and water or something made specially for the plastic it will discolor it. I have never discolored a shield with Windex or any other glass cleaner. I have had four different bikes with shields.
This is just me so don't use it if you think it will give you a problem.

You want the best glass, plexie, mirror cleaner.
Stoner, if you have been using Windex in your car and you seem to just keep moving the smear around, STONER in the spray can is the best. I like it on my bikes shields because it foams and softens the bugs before wipeing down. I have used the Stoner pump bottle and dont like it at all, dont know what the diff is but there is.

I read the whole link. Doesn't say anything about plastic or Plexiglas. It is also $12 by the time you pay shipping. I'll stick to Windex thanks anyway. Like i said, four different windshields and no problems yet
