Goat's Bladder

Besides that we are out of cheese burgers and since I have no cheese burgers to cook I don't need a cat under my bike. A Cat = BBQ which = you are making me hungery Jim..

We'll take care of that on Sun.

Goat's Bladder

I've though of having mine gutted out, but with stock pipes I'm not sure. Not looking for louder sound, just breathing the engine.

Goat's Bladder

I noticed that someone said that with most after market pipes, they take off the goat's belly? Is that the case with all aftermarket pipes?

I know.... I know.... but my dad always said that the only stupid question was the unasked question.... ;-)~

Goat's Bladder

Yes, generally speaking, all aftermarket exhausts remove the goats bladder.

and as far as the earlier comment about it no being a real cat, if you look at the Gadjet's gut your goat bladder page, you can clearly see the honeycomb material. This also explains the heat it generates. A pre-muffler would not get that hot.

Goat's Bladder

When I gutted My bladder, I used a plasma cutter and cut it open, there was no honeycomb material in there, Mine is a 99 Nomad and it had two baffles inside (I should of took a picture)anyway I cut them off and welded the bladder back together and painted it with high temp paint, I really never had a heat problem to begin with, It sounds about 25% louder I did debaffle the oem pipes before I gutted the bladder , What will they look for at the inspection Noise? Just so you know My bladder did not look anything like the one on Gadjets page...and it looks just like it came out of the factory it just sounds better to me anyway...

Goat's Bladder

The bladder on the 99s are pretty much empty. Definitely different than the newer models.
