07 Nomad 1600 rear shocks

Lonewolf, I have the extended warranty also on my '07. I'm not in need of shocks now but wanted to get info on the Progressives. I've heard nothing but good about them.

07 Nomad 1600 rear shocks

Cajun,
I did get the Progressive 412 series 11.5".

I had to bring my bike in to have the stock shocks replaced a few months back. It only had about 1800 miles and the left side started leaking. The warranty covered the replacement. I changed them because of the height. I'm only 5'6" and with the stock shocks I was tip- toeing on one side.

Kip

KAWIMAN It might not be a leaking shock I also have a progressive air pump and it will bleed off somtimes if I mess with the connector on it,it wont bleed off and the shock will hold air. Just a thought try the air pump on a few different valve stems like bike, wheel barrow ect and see if any of those bleed off. I think the angle the pump hose is at while airing up the rear shocks can cause a leak.

Thanks spirello, I'll double check to make sure. The other shock holds the air with pump attached so I'm pretty sure its the shock leaking. Wouldnt hurt to check though. I am finally getting this mess straightened out with the new shocks. Progressive is sending me the correct bushing kit.
