I know you know this. You're just trying to rub it in that you are riding in warm weather while some of us have been shoveling snow.

My shop and boat last week.
No, no, I wouldn't do that. I am sympatico with you. Why, we've been struggling through 8 to 10 inches of sunshine every day for weeks now, followed by blizzards of barbeque a couple times a week. Where will it all end? Oh, the humanity! Why, oh why?

If that is all we had I would be happy
Our bikes are in there.

You guys in the sun belt states are killing me but I really do know it could be worse, well, like back east. The snow is now gone and it was almost 50 degrees today.

That snow was most unusual for February and was probably our last winter hurrah. The forecast is for warming and into the 50s next week. I am so looking forward to spring and some beautiful riding weather. I'm going to explore Colorado this summer, among other states. I'd also really like to tour Arkansas.

Our daughter lives in FL, with a beautiful home on Blue Water Bay in Niceville FL (covered swimming pool and all) and sends me pics of she and her husband sitting on the deck of a Destin beach side bistro, looking out over the water, and having mimosas for breakfast in 71 temps.

I think this year I'll buy another bike and park it in her garage so that I can get out of these damn cold, damp Washington winters once in awhile.

OK,heres what you do, get your snowblowers, take the engine off, get a old treadmill, connect the treadmills power input to the snowblower, rig up a swivel in the middle, rig up a trans to drive the contraption, ride your nomad up on it, slave the steering to the bike, ratchetstrap that puppy down, hop on her, crank her up and ride!
Probably travel 200 miles before you got all that snow off the driveway....
I'm moving up to Seattle later this year....so, I'll know the cold and snow by next winter.....

Yea, I read that up in Tims area, theres blizzards going on up there.....

What is getting us out here is rain. I saw a stat yesterday that the normal for this time of year is about 2 inches whereas we've had about 7 inches. California is also getting drowned after about 7 years of drought. The massive Oroville dam was near collapse with another foot of rain on the way. Hopefully they were able to release enough water to handle the next storm.

Me, I'm just growing moss on my north side and awaiting dry weather.

Yes, let's hope and pray that the dam is able to withstand the coming rain of a possible of 12" in the next ten days. Article Here

My brother and sister live in Carmichael near the American River but if the dam lets go it is the Sacramento River that will be the problem with a threat to West Sacramento, where one of my nephews lives.

Yes, this is pretty terrible Jim. Let's hope the dam holds and be a lesson to the jerks that ignored repeated entreaties to shore up the spillways and line that emergency overflow with concrete instead of dirt.

I'll be riding down for sure this summer and will take a ride up to Hangtown one day.
