Scot, no I don't ride my bike in the winter.
I have a 4x4 "ruck"
I don't like the ABS on the ruck in the summer either. Sometimes I try to stop and there are wet leaves or gravel in the approach to the turn. It doesn't seem to stop as well with the ABS. If I want to lock them up I think I should be able to.

TC, glad to hear everything worked out and that you are here to remind us of how quickly things can go sour. I don't have GPS on my bike. I always figured that part of biking is to go out and explore. Find new roads and see where they lead me to.

It's amazing how quickly everything can go to hades. I'm really glad that you and Cindy had intercoms. That was a close one, glad it came out well.

Tim, Thank Cindy for us for saving your butt, things would not be the same around here without you.
Glade it all worked out. Reminds me of my brother a couple of years ago. We are going down the highway with him in the lead and he runs over a wooden pallet laying in the middle of our lane. All I can think of seconds before is why is he heading right for that? Turns out his GPS is squawking at him so he looks down at and never saw the pallet. Luckily just like you. no damage to rider or machine.
Sh*t happens when you least expect it.

TC, glad your still here, like was said, a near miss is still a miss, but do you think if you had a CT it would have been that close........... ;)

I know you bustin' on me Cliff but,
If I had a car tire I think I would have hit the SUV.
I don't think I could have swerved enough to miss it.
Just my opinion as I don't have any first hand experience with how they handle. It just seems to me I couldn't have leaned it over like I did.

Yeah Tim, I was bustin' on ya , But I have found that the quick maneuvers and overall performance of the bike in panic situations are improved. I try to stay out of the discussions where folks talk about a CT vs MT, because everyone has their opinion, and nothing, and no one is going to change that opinion, but purely from a safety point-of-view, the CT is a big improvement on a Nomad..........
Ride safe Bro, and tell Cindy THANK YOU again. You might want to take her out for a nice dinner too..........

Cindy said she knew she liked you and Diane.
She requested I take her for Steak & Lobster. I told her no problem, she can order what ever she wants.

No Bill, I was ahead of her and she was on her 900LT.
She stopped for the stop sign and the guy in the SUV stopped next to her. He was a little shaken as well.
I guess seeing a Nomad coming at your door is a little frightening.

No TC, I think seeing YOU coming at his door is what scared him.
