Kawgirl... I know that there are no words that can make this all better, but I will keep your Dad, you, and your family in my prayers. I lost my mother to cancer several years ago, and like fish siad... God has another saint to help him watch over us. It never gets any easier, but the good memories seem to out weigh the bad over time. I'm sure you'll enjoy and cherish every day you have with him and I'm sure he does too...regardless if he remembers it or not!

Kawgirl, take lots of pics!!!!!!! You will be glad you did because a picture holds a thousand words!!! And you can keep showing your dad the pictures they might help trigger the memory part of his brain. I lost my dad when i was 17 years old so i kinda know what you are going through, but you have an advantage that i didn't have. When my dad died i didn't see it coming, he was here one day the gone the next. You make his life great, take those pics, take him out, have fun and live life. You won't regret it. Prayers!

My Dad
So very sorry to hear about your father. I lost my dad to colon cancer in 04 and I still think of him every day. When you visit with your dad reminisce with him about the "old days". He may not respond physically but maybe the stories will help to comfort him.
