No....spend some quality time learning from your bike. Idle problems on Nomads are directly related to:
1. Injectors really dirty....Use SeaFoam, EFI Cleaner....
2. Battery going bad, Alts/regs not working correctly, not enough voltage to keep efi/ign. operating cleanly.
3. Bike needing a good, basic tuneup. You will be surprised what a fresh set of plugs can do.....or a clean aircleaner....
4. Fuel filter/ fuel strainer stopping up....OR bad fuel. Possibly even fuelpump.
5. Engine not spinning over fast enough for a good, clean start....
6. Coils weak or dirty connections, compromised firing.
7. Whatever everyone really fears, ECU problems/failure....
8. Choke/ start idle-up know needs adjusting/shimming.
9. TPI sensor screwing up, needing replacement, unplugged, dirty/bad....
10. Vacuum leak....

I'd say run some EFI cleaner thru it, give it a double dose, for the tank, fuelpump and injectors....

Bad temperature sensor or broken wire to the one in the air box.

I finally got the fuel tank off a week ago to look on top of the motor what might be causing my idle issue. One of the things I was going to look for, as mentioned by Ridefree, was a cracked vacuum line. The other was a broken wire, specifically by the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) since I had that issue a few years ago. Here is a link to that writeup: http://vulcanbagger.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26846

The first thing I looked at was the vacuum lines and I could not one that had a leak so started looking at wires. Eventually I disconnected the TPS plug. The previous repair I had done on the connector was the blue wire. So as I was checking the three wires that seemed crusty from all that heat under there, I was straightening out the brown wire and it broke/ was broken , not sure which one. I happened to find a HONDA/ACURA Throttle Position Sensor PIGTAIL PLUG on ebay that looked like what I needed so I had it coming. Sure enough it was the correct one so put it on and this weekend took a trip to Nebraska, putting on 700 miles since I replaced it. Bike is running fine now. Will post pictures shortly.

Good report. Good job repairing. Do you remember what year Honda
That plug was on. Be nice to know.

Put some silicone rubber around the wires to give support
From vibration.

Glad you got it fixed.
700 miles it must be alright.
Congrats.
