A 22-year-old woman driving a motorcycle died in a collision with an SUV on Tuesday evening in Tempe, authorities said.

The driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI and manslaughter, said Tempe Police Lt. Scott Smith.
The collision was near Rural and Broadway roads, officials said. The woman driving the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with critical injuries before she died.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.

I just read in today's paper that the driver of the SUV that killed the female rider had her license revoked indefinitely back in 2011 for DUI. She was driving unlicensed and uninsured. She will probably do prison time for her actions.

I haven't been able to find any additional information on the crash that was the original topic of this thread.

AZ Bike Week is a month away, that usually brings a lot of casualties as well.
