A little dish soap is all you need.

I never use adhesive or any lube . I put the grips on using an air nozzle under the edge. once on you ride. no wait for anything to dry

I have gorilla glue that I was going to use but I might try the dishsoap deal first.

I use black hockey tape because it works and I am Canadian.
