Jeff, Yeah me too. A bad one was a guy that broke off exhaust studs at the flanges, leaving them on the engine. The head pipes were the type where 2 curves shims clamped down in the head exhaust port. I forget what bike this was, a vertical twin of some sort
These had both broken drill bits and EZ outs in what was left of the studs and all 4 were broken. To me this is just from bad to full blown idiot. I used to see that all the time but i avoid that now. I hear it's good for the economy I had that job done in 3 hours to the point of having new studs in all 4 holes. I don't need a computer to do the diags, but i need a book to tell me how to reset the codes. I am no longer up to date in the latest tech either and don't really want to be. More or less LH jet was the last system i worked with on a regular basis. My persona; favorite was CIS (continuous Injection System), not to be confused with the cis ignition system.

Yup, good times. I just LOVE fixing other peoples mistakes. There is no book time for that. And I hear you on not wanting to be up on the latest auto tech. No need to be if you aren't doin it every day. This new tech is getting ridiculous. Costing me a small fortune in equipment. I have a shop facebook page that I am starting to post pictures of the carnage we see here at the shop. I am a little behind on putting the pics up. Nothing spectacular, but kind of fun if your into that kind of stuff. https://www.facebook.com/jeffsmountainauto |

Mac... clearly these two yahoo's are dumb-asses that have no clue about much.
My guess is their future here isn't going to be too promising once they realize a few things and who they just pissed-off. Can't wait to hear more of their mechanical brilliance. I haven't seen good comedy like those two idiots for a while now.

And then I don't have to do anything..... All you guys will do it for me... I was on the first board we don't see anymore either. I still have it bookmarked, and was going to post it, but thought not to... We'll see, and for now this will be my room. I almost deleted every post in that thread, and another recent thread, but thought to leave the, for context.

In my other life, I use to paint for a living. I blame all this dim wittery and nonsensical horse chit on lead free paint.
Back in the day when young-uns ate furniture. They died. Then somebody had the idea to gradually remove lead from paint. Consequently we have young-uns that didn't eat enough lead to kill 'em which rendered society a bunch of brain damaged adults who should have died a long time ago. Now we have gnawed up furniture, piss poor paint, and idiots worrying the hell out of us and working on motorcycles with channel locks and claw hammers. And the state make 'em wear helmets to increase their life span! That's what burns my ass! Call you Congressmen and demand lead for paint!
