Anyone running Dunlop SP5000

I have about 200 miles on this brand new tire, and today I find a nail in it. Unbelievable. Went ahead and plugged it, hope it holds good.

OK, Nail in the tire, then plugged. Do you replace it?
When buying a tire for cars here you can pay a few extra $ and get road hazard insurance. In this case they would replace the tire free. Does that apply to these tires you all run?

I have about 24,000 miles on mine. It still has tread, but it's definitely showing signs of wear. I will most likely be replacing it this winter with somewhere around 27,000 miles on it. Not too bad imho.

I bought off Tirerack and did not get any road hazard. It was Add $15.72 per tire. I plugged this last night and plan on keeping an eye on it. Took it for a short ride with no issues.

I ordered a Dunlop SP5000 a couple days ago. From your comments, I have done the right thing. BnG

Good luck BnG. Just don't get a nail in it. On a good note, my first plug job is apparently holding up good.

I liked the '09 Nomad's performance on the road, I thought it "looked" cheaper than my 1500.
I love the way the HD '07 street glide looks, which is why I had to go for a ride on it. It's performance was ok I couldn't figure out the radio controls, didn't like the handlebar switches.
The fit and finish on the HD was excellent.
Both bikes were cramped for space.
I was thinking the manufacturers need to step up, and give us more for our money.
I've been looking for a replacement for my "01.
I haven't found one yet.

You sound like you did what I did this summer, demo'ed allot of bikes. If you get a chance, go ride this Victory: http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-.../Overview.aspx

It maybe my next ride if the price is ever right. Price is no where close to right now at 18k. Of every bike I rode this summer, it was my favorite.

I've done the original Victory 92? The sport, Vegas, Hammer and the Kingpin Tour. Liked all of them very impressed with Kingpin tour. Actually I meet two of my sons at Americade in L. Geo. every year, and we test ride bikes, average year 12 rides a good year is 20. Lots of fun spending time with family and its not or bikes or fuel.
