Like ring said, that's the best way to do it. I have a beat up 16"er that came with my Tour Glide fairing. I know I'll be ordering a new one this summer but I want to ride with this one first to get an idea what size I need. Unfortunately, nobody makes a recurve for the older Tour Glides. :(

"caddy",....I mentioned this before but really !! think about getting one cut and make it a little wider. Mine goes past the usual HD width by about a 3 inches, and the amount of difference it makes for any turbulence is extreme. I can measure mine if you want. I think I posted a photo of mine back somewhere in this thread. You won't be disappointed. trust me. JMHO.

Monkeyman. Have you tried Longrideshields.com to see if they have or can make you a shield for your older tour glide. There prices are much more reasonable than any others that I have priced.

Yup. Since the recurves are molded (as opposed to just being cut), they (as well as the rest of the companies) would have to make a mold especially for me. Since the Tour Glide hasn't been made in well over a decade, there just isn't much market for them. I completely understand why nobody will make (nor carries) a TG recurve but it still sucks. (That being said, I would assume any of these companies would make one for me given enough money. I just can't see spending thousands of dollars for a single windshield.)

Getting my bike home tomorrow!

Finally getting my bike home tomorrow after it's long stint in my friends workshop! It's had the following done to it; head bearings, wheel bearings, oil & oil filter service, new Tyres front & rear, Tyres 'painted', Side badges removed, wheels polished, front forks polished, brake pads replaced, deep clean from tip to toe, polished 'trees', polished passenger footboard 'holders', transmission fluid service, polished brake & clutch fluid reservoir covers and much more but I can't think of anymore at the moment!
I'll post close up photos of the newly shiny bits when I get her home.

I can only assume you're referring to greasing the driveshaft, etc. If your mechanic really charged you for doing something with the transmission fluid, you should get your money back, mate.

Thats the one, driveshaft! The world can rest easy now that that's sorted

You don't get away with much on this forum, which is as it should be

Funny you should mention my HD as my mechanic wants me to give him the bike to polish up the front forks etc but I am hesitant to leave it with him due to the time he took doing the jobs on the Nomad

As long as you have a bike to ride, I'd let him polish the Harley.
And I finally bought an outer fairing on Ebay last night. Now I'm looking for an inner piece.
