I sure was hoping mine would get here before i had to go back to work. Oh well, What a treat it will be on my next set off

FredZ, I answered your pM but thought I would post it here as well. My backrest is made by a company called BakUp. It is very comfortable and yes I like it alot.
It is held on by the screw that holds the drivers seat on. So I would say no it dosen't come off easily. But I am 63 years old and have no trouble getting on and off the bike with it on there. It does fold forward to let your passenger get on or off if that is of concern to you. It is not in the passengers way when riding.
The down side is it cost $360

If I were to do it over again I would purchase one of grasshoppers rests first. They are not adjustable but everyone on this forum seems to be happy with his product and they only cost 90 or 100 dollars.
Then if I wasn't happy with that I would sell it on here and look for one that is adjustable. Hope this helps.

Just got the Grasshopper Backrest in the mail today. Took it out of the box, put it on the bike and took a 150 mile ride this afternoon. What a difference the backrest makes. It's great thanks Grasshopper and Dakals. Now just need to get my risers and I will be set.

Dakals there's no lipstick on my receipt either.

The backrest really makes a big differance in the ride.

Received the backrest in the mail Thursday. Took me a little longer to install it than normal. My dog insists on supervising when I am out with the bike. :) Probably wouldn't have taken more than a couple of minutes otherwise. After I got back from the Ride Like a Pro Class this weekend, I finally had the chance to try it today. I like it. Forces me to sit up straighter. I think it gives me a better feel for what the bike is doing. Nice quality, thanks.
