My mother and my son and his family (4 grandkids) are still in Roscoe. I get back there for a long weekend about every 3-4 months. My wife on the other hand is back there about every 6 weeks. She's on a first name basis with the the folks at Alligiant Air.

kris,i have been in training at home this summer so that i can be a more competive drunk at this years rally.my tools have been makers mark,.absolut and some patrona.

I am starting by suggesting Colorado. It is a great place to ride, and who doesn't like the mountains?

It also relatively central... at least to a good portion of the country. I realize it would be a long way to go for those on the east-coast. But then again Tom rode all the way from California (about four miles from where BD lives) to Maggie Valley on the bike!!!! So... it CAN be done!
I spoke with Trip on the telephone today regarding the Redwoods Rally....and he told me to tell attendees there that he was 85% certain that the 2013 National would be somewhere in Colorado... . If it's okay to say that there, I figure it must be okay to say it here too. Nothing is yet in stone, but they are researching a place that can handle what is expected to be upwards of 200 bikes....yikes! Don't everyone chime in and bug them now....let them work their magic. I'm sure wherever they pick it will be a great spot!

Unfortunately, he does not think he will be able to attend the Redwoods Rally due to work obligations, but he is still holding out hope. He also tried to get the Vulcan Nation Demo Van to our rally, but their schedule does not appear to allow for it.... :-[. Looks like we will have to entertain ourselves with great rides, good company, tequila shots, fine cigars....and watching BD make three wardrobe changes a day... ;) .
So much for keeping this under your hat.

Agreed, but Durango is much more spendy than Cortez. Cortez is a farming town, Durango is the southern Colorado version of Aspen. The motel we stayed at was great, though.
