We are negotiating price and terms. It is a low stress deal for sure. I either ride it or it will sit for 4-5 months before we take it to the mountains for the memorial and then sell it. Just trying to make sure it is maintained and ridden. I will end up owning it, I'm almost sure.

Now I have to figure out how to change the oil

Ah....A Good place to start:http://www.bmwlt.com/

The oil filter is inside the engine. That's right. Inside. You have drain the oil first then take the plate for the oil filter off to get to it.

I buy a lot of my stuff here:http://www.beemerboneyard.com/

I rode 199.7 miles round trip. Rode down to Tucson for lunch and back. Weather was mostly cloudy, high 60's. Nice ride.

I needed to take a vacation day, so I have today off. Rode up to Globe, ate a nice lunch at Irene's Real Mexican Food Cafe and then came back home. About 180 miles r/t. The route to Globe takes you through "Top of the World" at about 5000'. It was a might chilly through there, I was watching shaded areas for ice. In the lower elevations temps were much better. I just got home and it's about 70 degrees now.

On the way back, I stopped at Florence Jct to change to lighter gloves and get ride of my balaclava. I took some pics of the bike:

Paul (Old Curmudgeon), Roger, Drew and I managed a ride yesterday. It was supposed to be in the 60s with sun...turned out it was late 50s and no sun. We went up Turkey Creek Rd. past Tiny town, then up to Aspen Park and back on Pleasant Park Road to Turkey Creek and back home. Altitude at Aspen Park is around 8,000' and the top of our world is many miles away from us. Snow on both sides of the road, sand (!) on the road and damned cold up there! I had on thin leather gloves and just about froze my hands...I could sure tell when it started warming up! About 55 miles, altogether.

Fun, though! Let's see if a map shows up...here edit: Nope, no show...google maps for Aspen Park, co

Tim
