I didn't realize you worked that far from home. My commute is 30 miles. Going to work isn't as bad as going home. Then again it's temporary anyway.

It's 17-18 miles each way, plus a few miles at lunch. It takes me 30 minutes to go to work and about 20 to go home.

Yeah, it takes me 35-40 to get to work and 45-50 to get home. I only go out for lunch once a week and it's walking distance. That afternoon traffic is starting to get to me.

I take surface streets to work, the 202 and 101 are parking lots by 06:30. I take the freeways home, which shaves a good 10-15 minutes most days.

Wife and I left home on our bikes this morning heading to the Cherohala Skyway. Saw lots of pretty foliage, although at the highest altitudes there was hardly any color. Was a beautiful day, great ride and met some nice people on several of the overlook stops. Round-trip ended up being an enjoyable 300 miles.

I hit the HOV, but it's crazy. No side streets for me. It's either bee line to the 202 to 101 or Shea to the 101 to get there and the reverse to go home.

You don't have many options where you live. There's only a couple roads out of Fountain Hills, and you either have to go through the rez or through Scottsdale.

Rode about 200 miles to cover 3 athletic events in the west central Florida area. Got a little windy with the outter bands of Sandy coming closer to us. Looks like I'll have the bike in the garage till she passes.

Rode to Lafayette, LA today. Nice at 50 degrees but a bit windy. Skies were clear and sunny. Stopped by Billy's Specialty Meats in Scott, LA and had Pepperjack cheese filled boudin and cracklings. Went by Cajun HD in Lafayette and looked at 2013's and many early model Corvettes and Camaros in the parking lot. Really nice car show there. 220 miles total.

Rode from Eustis over to and through Deland and took back roads up to Astor again for lunch....was originally heading for Crescent city and a place on the water called 3 Bananas. Never been there but with a name like that you have to check it out...... Heading North out of Deland the weather started to change. Couldn't see to the West very well so I decided to shorten it up and head to Astor instead. Sure enough when I got upstairs to the outdoor part of the restaurant there was the beginnings of a cold front well to the Northwest. Ate lunch, relaxed a while and went back pretty much the same way with a small detour to the North before I swung back South. Good twisty road I knew about. Heading home from Deland the sky was pretty black and extremely windy and the temp was dropping pretty quicly. Overall a nice ride and probably around 130 miles total.

Gorgeous sunny day. I love being able to ride all year long

Rode from home Southwest to Bayou Dularge, Dulac, Cocodrie, and then had lunch at the Sportsman's Paradise in Robinson Canal. Left and headed Northeast to Montegut, Point-aux-Chenes, Isle de Jean Charles and back home. 122 miles in beautiful weather.
