Rode over to Leesburg Bikefest for an hour or so. I guess I'm over the whole Bikefest deal. Got in about 140 miles today plus a nice dinner with my wife.

I just got home, when I left this morning it was 24, pretty chilly. Coming home though was really good, in the low 50's. About a twenty mile trip.

Rode out to school then a little ride around the area with a stop for icey cream. Total of about 40 miles.

320 miles, seven hours from OKC to skiatook and keystone lakes back through rte 66 and home again. Great ride and brought me to the brink of my first 1K of miles. Sad that it took me this long

Had a great ride Sunday. Took off early in the morning heading north and east.
No route planed. Seems no matter what roads I take I always end up at Tuggles Gap, Va. From there I got out my America Rides Map and just enjoyed the highlighted roads and the country side.

Ride with the CHAMP
Nick Van Strydonk is the 2012 Eagle River World Champion. He has been oval racing sleds for years and this year at the age of 21 he won the big race. Nick races out of Erv's Sales (Victory/Polaris) in Tomahawk WI which his family owns.

Erv's has invited us out to meet the new Champ, see his race sled and go for a local ride in the Harrison Hills area.

When: Saturday April 28.

Where: Meet at Keys Cafe 1960 W Broadway Forest Lake, MN. Depart 8am.

What: Ride to Tomahawk. Visit Erv's Sales. Ride Harrison Hills. Have lunch at DogsnSuds. Return.

We may also be able to get as high as we possibly can in WI. Legally.

Let's Ride.

Greg

I went on this ride with the "Twin Cities Victory Riders" last Saturday. There was a great turn out considering the weather, 10 Victory's in all.
When we left Forest Lake the weather prediction for the area was rain/snow with temps in the upper 30's. The front stalled out near the Minnesota/Wisconsin border and we were headed 180 miles east. The further east we went the better the weather. By the time we reached Tomahawk it was 56 degrees and sunny. Checked out the championship sled, ate some Coney Islands and traveled some great roads. By the time we returned to MN the rain/snow was done and it was a dry 44 degrees. I left home at 7:15 a.m., returned at 7:45 p.m and logged 500 miles. All in all, a great day of riding with some great people.

I got my Nomad back together this weekend, after two weeks of being on the jack, and was able to get out for a nice 75 mile ride this afternoon. Just cruised around South Georgia, enjoyed the sunny day (90+ degrees) and the scenery. Great to be back in the saddle.

We rode to work yesterday, it wasn't too bad, but it rained on the way home, and between the rain and the roadspray it was very difficult to see where you were going.
It was a lousey 25 mile ride.

I grew up in Skiatook! I live about 20 minutes from the lake, now. It is arguabley one of the cleanest, prettiest lakes in the state. It's a little low right now... about 8 ft below normal. And with the recent rains and temp change, it's a tad dirty. It'll be clean and clear by June though. I can usually see my feet when I'm in swimming off the boat.

Anyway, I rode to work this morning and will enjoy the ride home too. About 20 miles total. Wish it was more.

Rode to Galveston today. Ate lunch of fresh fried fish on the sea wall at "The Spot". Came home through Texas City and Kemah. About a 60 mile run on a beautiful Texas Spring day.

Three of us went to pick up my new front crashbar that I had ordered. It was a great day and we put on about a 130 miles. But the traffic was heavier than usual. I guess a lot of people were out on the roads today.
