Well, just sitting here watching the news and it looks like Fay will be a hurricane when she decides to visit our area early this week. Some of the models have her coming fairly close if not right over us here on the west coast of Florida. Hopefully it will be a minimal Cat. 1 at best but you never know with these things.
Joe will get the NE side of the storm, heavy rain and potential tornadoes. Up here, if it goes the course they are saying, we will get the surge and the brunt of it. My hope is that it will not strengthen much and we will just get some rain and a little wind. Needless to say, NOAA will be on the computer most of the next few days.

Good luck coacha. Louisiana advise, don't hang around if it should happen to move up to a cat 2 or 3. The wind might not get you but the surge might. Take care and God protect you and your family...

Update: Looks like Joe may be getting the brunt of the deal, as Fay made a "jog" to the east over night.

Make sure the bike is in the garage and turn on the Speed Channel (or maybe in your case, the NFL channel). We'll see you when it dries out.

1/2 day of school tomorrow is the word I got earlier tonight. I guess we are in for some rain and a little wind.
Bike is stored and the Speed Channel is on, lol.

I don't know, dodging August snow storms in Colorado, or the canes of the SE, think I'll take the snow. Good luck with Fay to you all down there.

Fay passed with the eye about 20 miles from my backyard. Got wind gust at about 60 mph and just minor tree damage. Lots of rain and flooding, but no damage to the home. Bike stays in the garage high and dry. ;) Never lost power or Internet.
Thanks for the kind thoughts. We were lucky Fay didn't go offshore and strengthen over the warm gulf waters. Joe |

Glad you are all safe and no damage. I have a brother that lives near Ft. Myers and he said not bad at all. Lots of rain though.

Todd, from what I've seen it looks like it might stay South of you. Regardless, take care and keep it safe.
