Payback Mods

I often ride my Nomad with my brother who has a 2013 Ultra and my brother in-law who rides a beautiful 2016 two tone Ultra Limited. I bought my Nomad new in ’06 and have made quite a few upgrades over the years. I had finally reached a point where I thought she was perfect. And she was, until I started getting some push back from the guys about the lack of a sound system. They would crank up their Harmon Cardon at stop lights just to bug me. I won’t go into all the discussions about their heat problems, or the uncomfortable upright nut crunching position I’m in when I jump on their bikes. Anyway, no big deal, I was happy. Then they would give me static about the OEM horn on the Nomad, which is mediocre at best. It finally started getting under my skin. So I said to myself, what the hell, and started my search for a sound system. After much research, I settled on a quad set of Polk audio coax speakers in chrome housings with matching rear chrome speakers mounted at the bags. I powered the 6-speaker system with a 400-watt NVX slimline amp. The amp is wired to a Cerwin Vega Bluetooth receiver. I added dual USB power connections, aux power switch on the handle bars, aux power key operated kill switch, and a chrome iPhone holder. I topped off all of that with a Stebel compressed air horn. I wish I had a pic of the guys faces when I pulled into the parking lot where we meet for our rides. After I blasted them with the Stebel, I cranked that 400-watt sucker. Payback is a bitch!
