Question Really need help

I just installed a kuryakn hypercharger model 9400
On my 1999 nomad vn1500g
I removed the reed valves and everything. Used reed valve block off plates.
I used the jets in the kit . The 140 main jet that came in kit .
Since doing this ( and I followed the instructions to a T and did everything they said )
Bike is pooping and backfiring.cant seem to get it tuned correctly????
Am I using the right jet ? Do I need to go bigger.???
I also have Vance and Hines true touring duals. If I need a 170 main jet where can I get one and how much . Bike ran great with no issues prior .
I just wanted to clean up the look of bike and I like the hypercharger over other intake mods. Kit came with these jets 48 slow speed jet . 132,135,138,and a 140 main jet

jetsrus.com for individual jets . all bikes are different but I used a 168 on My classic and 170 on My Nomad which seems a little rich . sounds like You need to check the boot and the diaphragm to see if either is leaking or out of place . also post where You are in case someone is close to lend a hand . and before You go to far check to see if Your bike still has the POG in it or not .
