carburetor nomad starting procedure
Was 50 here so decided to go for a ride. Had a hard time starting the bike. This is my first carburetor nomad. Should I be doing full choke to start and should I be using any throttle. Would like to hear from those with the 99 or 2000 carburetor what you do for starting. I appreciate any input.

I have an 01 carb Nomad. When starting I use full choke and never touch the throttle until it has been running for at least 30 seconds. Hope this helps.

My 99 likes about half choke and one full twist of the throttle. Yours may be different depending on any mods to the intake. Mine has a open K & N filter on the right side and has been rejetted.

Mine has the K&N filter and 170 main jet, with all the rubbish ripped off.It likes a couple of turns of the throttle,as soon as i hit the button it fires up,and i pull the choke right out for a few seconds, then push it halfway back in.
