Handlebar Riser Advice?
I've got a 2009 Nomad and would like to add some handelbar risers. I would like to get a set that raises and brings back the bars about as far as the stock cables and hoses will allow with out removal. What are your recommendations and experiences? Thanks in advance.

installed Chucksters risers on my 2013 Nomad and they worked great with no cables or hoses to change.

It's a common problem with any risers. They don't touch by much, but I drilled the stop, and loctited small self tapping screws in each side.

Maybe this will help.

Try rolling your bars down a smidgen. That's a technical term for just a wee bit. |

Mine hit slightly from day 1 on the left side (turning right). After installing Chuckster's risers they hit really hard, I mean bend the plastic hard. My current fix (Chucksters recommendation) is a short piece of 5/8 id heater hose on the stop. Now it's back to how it was factory. I asked one mech at the dealer and he thinks Kawasaki should have moved the fairing forward a bit as this is a common thing.

I'm using Phat risers and guess I got lucky cause mine don't hit (others say they do) but come within 1mm. I do turn full lock in parking lots.
If mine did hit I looked at the stop and thought I could arc weld a bead on the stop to extend bump easily. |
