No,but there is an electric cable running from the loom under the tank to a white snap connector, then going into the back of the carb.

Hopefully someone else will chime in as I don't recall any electrics on a carb model

I was surprised to see it there too,i am probably going to have to take the carb off again as i just put a 165 main and a 47 slow running jet in it, and i might want to up that to a 170,if i do i'll investigate it a bit more,i just unplugged the white connector to get the carb off,and did'nt look any further into what is was there for.

Hello mate, there is also a Y peice under the float bowl with only one hose going to it from the bottom rad hose,wtf is that all about ! Ive looked in the manual and there is no sign of it.
