Lees-ure lite tent trailer need some information

If any of you out there have a Lees ure lite excel tent trailer I am wondering what they have for wiring on trailer is it 4 prong or 5 prong? Now with that what do you need to hook up wiring on a 1700 Vulcan Nomad? Do you just wire it into system or do you need any kind of protectors for the system?

Hope someone has one out there that can give me some information.

Dave

can be four or five wire depending on if you have any extra lights, i.e. the flashing when you apply the brakes, no special protector you may need the converter that goes from the four to five wire like I have.

170oo Vulcan Trailer Wiring

Ok have any of you wired up a 1700 Vulcan to work on a 5 wire trailer system. What did you use and how did you do it to put it simple. The trailer I am buying I have found out is a 5 wire with LED lights.

I am wondering if on a 1700 Vulcan how to wire bike to trailer I can get the matching plug they use for trailer but wonder if I need an isolator in system or can I just wire it directly to lights on bike. I know from manual real tail light is a LED from factory on bike.

I think I will need the isolator so it can draw enough current for tail lights on trailer.

Totally confused here in Edmonton darn it anyways.

Yes I did, and I used the 4 to 5 wire adapter you can get, you splice the wires from it into the wiring harness and the 4 wires to the trailer. The question would be what do you want to use the fifth wire on the trailer for? most trailers are 4 wire. PM me your email address and I will send you the schematic I have for the wiring.

The one bit of knowledge in this old memory bank for me is electrical I have always been clueless.

Yes please do send me a schematic of the wiring I would appreciate it so very much. Is one wire a dead wire Smokey meant for an option because I can not figure out what a fifth wire is for. I thought lately our bikes would be a five wire system since the tail light is led but maybe I am wrong and I probably am. If it is a dead wire I would like to keep it available for a power plug inside trailer so why not buy a six wire plug unit for both and use the available dead wire for positive and and sixth plug for neg ground.

Totally out to lunch on this but maybe if I had trailer here I could figure it better seeing the wiring. Email is daveleyh@telus.net.

Thanks

The fifth wire runs the accessory 12 volt outlet that you have in some trailers, that is why my Gypsy had the fifth connection.
