yep. most likely it is caused by the contour of the road.

If you ride on rounded top roads all the time tires have a tendency to cup on the left side. Mine do it all the time no matter what pressure I use in them. I just ride them until they are toast and get a new set. When I lived out in Arizona for a time on the nice flat roads there my tires always wore evenly. Now I am back in PA with a lot of rounded top black topped roads they cup on the left again. More on the back tire then the front one too.
