Welcome from Southern Massachusetts.

That's going to be a looong ride... Two things you might want to consider (if you haven't already): the seat and risers. If it doesn't have a Mustang (or other) seat and pullbacks, you might want to try to get these on before you leave KY. The stock seat won't get you far, and most guys here seem to need risers. I have a Mustang tourer with backrest and Scootworks PhatII risers (3 in. pullbacks) on mine. Good luck.
