1500 Carb question.

After I put the dual baggers on my 1500 a friend helped me out with re-jetting the carb.
Question.. since it was drilled out is the carb ruined or can I just but a new jet for it?
I want to go back to stock mufflers and the jetted carb wont work with stock pipes.
Anyone got a clue... I know I don't! ::)

1500 Carb question.

If it was the jet that was drilled out, you just replace them with a new stock size jet. If it was the carb passages that were drilled out (which I highly doubt) you would have to replace the complete carb body. Try it the way it is first after you switch the pipes, it may be ok as it is.

1500 Carb question.

I put V&H on my carbed 99 and had it re-jetted for the V&H exhaust. Later I transferred the V&H exhaust to another bike and put the stock exhaust back on the 99 and have not noticed any problems. However the 99 doesn't rack up thousands of miles any more either. I would try with the stock exhaust with the carb as is.
