Bag Liners
For those of us with fairings, one of the best and most convenient storage solutions for smaller things I've found is a "windshield storage pouch". The one I have is this one.............

Taranis; there is a Fire & Steel pouch that is made for the Nomad windsheild, or at least there was. Im not sure if it is still available but heres the p/n. K53000-156C is with studs, and K53000-157C is plain. Leather pouch size is 12"x 7"x 3"

Taranis, let me find the old one off my Nomad when I had a windshield on it. I can't remember the make? I'll snap a shot of it if can't find one on the bike. It mounted using 2 of the windshield bolts and it was fairly large for reference. Give me a few hours to dig out my driveway first :'(

It's a fairly large one and holds quite a bit.

I have these bags: http://www.tlcproducts.com/servlet/Categories?category=Kawasaki%3AVulcan+Nomad and I think those bags should be included as standard item when we buy the bike.
Mine are also labeled as one for me and one for my wife. in addition, I strap a duffel bag to the sissy bar. My wife carries the sleeping bags in her saddle bags. She also attaches a similar bag to her rear fender rack. That's how we travel. Man, I feel like taking a ride to CA. It was sunny and relatively warm in Palm Springs during the holidays.... |

I use my bags 100% of the time. Like others have mentioned, mine have internal pockets for smaller items. In those pockets I keep a flashlight, mini wrench & socket, oil rag, etc. Once you use them, you'll wonder why you didn't get them sooner.
