Hurt Report

I found this link on a site talking about MC safety

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...he_Hurt_Report

The "Hurt Report" is a list of finding based on reviewing 5,000 MC Accidents.

This may be a good thing review as you get ready to ride this spring. Or for those of you are going ridding tomorrow

That report was published 30 years ago, in 1981. I'm sure that the numbers have changed in that time frame.

Actually this is one of the very few valid studies that has been done properly. Not much has changed and the conclusions are fairly accurate. Most of the recent researchers want to short change the process and are not taken seriously. The following site has links to several safety studies. I found the MAIDS: Motorcycle Accidents in Depth and the Michigan study very interesting. Motorcycle Safety Info

Hurt Report

I was suprised at the NHTSA report showing that of the 63 fatalties in
Arkansas in 2005 that 49.2% were wearing a helmet.
From what I've seen fewer than 20% wear one.
Also suprising was the fact that 2/3 of them were not drinking.
Maybe were getting smarter.
