Adding a Fairing to the 1600

I'm doing a HD trunk per RDs advice. It's a bit of money and he's corrected my course a few times!

I am very pleased with mine from reckless. I have put four speakers on it and a marine radio I have around 850 in mine. I also have the phatt three risers. I don't have a cover over my radio though, but know problems so far

There very easy to install take your windshield off put the bracket that comes with the fairing and put it on the very same place the windshield was.

Does anyone have trouble with the speakers lining up, or the magnet hitting the outter fairing on the two outside speakers when going with the 4 speaker set up on the Reckless Fairings?

I agree that the reckless seems to be the way to go. I wish it was around when I did mine! I bought a fiberglass HD knock off on ebay cheap, then spent hundreds of dollars and seemingly that many hours figuring how to mount it. After getting custom aluminum mounts laser burned and bent, drilled, etc... I like the way it turned out, but it was WAY to much work.

Adding a Fairing to the 1600

Great info from all you guys, I'm putting in my bid next week for a Reckless off of EBay. My Pilion and I are heading down to Nashville in a week from the Great White North, so I plan on picking it up from the factory in Maryville myself. Just not sure which speaker set-up to choose.
Is anyone configuration stand out from the three choices?

Hey Jesper, My friend went through the same thing on the VTX, it took him countless hours trying to figure out how to mount the HD fairing, and make the brakets etc

I just dropped a bid on the Reckless for $250.00 + $50 shipping on Ebay, comes with the mounts !

Popet, I'm also looking for 5" for mine, may go with Infinity, or Polk Audios

Make sure when you buy a Reckless Fairing that you let Alex know that you are with Kawanow even if you buy it off e-bay.
