There must have been a few seconds there where panic might have snuck in. Glad you're OK. But more about the Magellan.....I had/have one that took on some water coming home from Custer. No issue with water till then. The thing has been apart all summer and the screen continues to hold water. Spring time it goes in the garbage.

There are waterproof/resistant enclosures that you can put your GPS or even smart phone in. they aren't expensive either. Just a thought.

Hello GPS gurus,
I'm trying to find out if TOMTOM XL 340 S is capable of recording trip info, some data that I can upload to my computer to see where we've been, average speed, total mileage, etc. Thanks, Elvis Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I just made a purchase a few minutes ago of the Zumo 220 motorcycle GPS, online from www.thegpsstore.com
I couldn't find this unit anywhere for less than $420. and as high as $599. I got it for $299.95...$304. with UPS grnd. shipping. I compared the Nuvi 550 and the Zumo 220 and asked the people at the GPS Store when I called them what the differences were in the two. They are pretty much the same I was told with the exception of bluetooth, and few other goodies that come in the box. Read the links to both units, and choose. But for a difference of about $10.00 I went for the Zumo. I hope others here pick up the deal. It is a ltd. time offer and as far as the store knows this is not going to be discontinued by Garmin. It only came out in Mar. 2010. Garmin also has a thing with Google, for those who don't know. You can download maps/routes from Google to your GPS. Anyway,... have a look and see. http://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-Zu...tem-P2326.aspx http://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-Nu...tem-P1914.aspx
