Out of Hibernation
Roads are clear of snow and ice (just need to get rid of the gravel) and it was a beautiful day in Edmonton. So brought the bike out of winter hibernation today. Put her all back together and she fired up first hit of the starter. Didn't get out for a ride today because the kids came over for an Easter BQ, but she is all ready for a ride tomorrow.
Boy this board sure has been quite. Spring has sprung. Lets ride!

hey Al... Happy to hear you got her out and ready to ride. And the weather is good too, thats a bonus! Not so nice here. I just knew we were gonna have to pay for the nice winter we had. It's happening now. It's cold and wet and I hate it. But, its gotta get better soon and it will. Ride on ! :)

It's good to see another bike on the road, and that's great if you're having some decent weather up there, Calgary was a little cool today but I got out for a short jaunt around the quiet country side of Spruce Meadows area. Put on over a 1000km so far this year, starting to feel like I could ride with one or two others, Have a great ride tomorrow!

Just getting the old girl back together again. I took the front and rear suspensions off and overhauled everything. Also machined up a new intake system. Last nite I fired her up and took her for a spin around the block..yee haa. Today I'll finish up with the heat shields and saddle bags. A good waxing too, then off to the city for an oil filter...good excuse for a ride eh. John

Next time you come in to Edmonton, shoot me a pm John (we can exchange phone numbers), maybe we can hook up for a coffee and a ride. I finally got out for my first ride of the year today, very enjoyable and man there is a lot of bikes out there.

I'm glad to see some activity here on our board. I thought everyone was still doing the winter hibernation. And what's that you say about riding this time of year in EDMONTON??? Having lived outside of Stony Plain back in the eighty's, there use to be a mud season out there about now.
Ride safe my friends. I hope to give the leg a try and throw it over the Nomad the next nice day. Still in a brace and hating it.

My hibernation ended on March 20, when I made sure I was riding when Winter changed to Spring
I was out again on March 21, but I got stuck in the mud and had to get a push from my wife :-[ (yes, this was on the Nomad) I've been out a few times since, but always seem to be fighting those Spring winds, but that's a whole lot better than sitting inside and reading about others ride experiences . Good Luck with the leg Rick. Regards, |

Yes, good luck with the leg, Rick.
I've been riding since March 13th and loving it. Lots of mud and gravel, but I can't stop myself... |

Yahoo, been riding lots. Taken the bike to work the last few days. Out the last two weekends with the wife so she could try the new back supports. The new Vance and Hines with the Ultimate Baffles sound sweet. Looking forward to the 8th of May.

Rick,
John, Psycho and myself are getting together that day for coffee and look over each others bikes and then go for a nice long ride, stop and have a few pops maybe, then see what the day brings us.
