Good day for a ride...

Rode about 120 miles today with 4 other friends. Two Harleys and two Hondas. But you know what? My Nomad got the most looks, questions and compliments, even from the HD guys. One of the Harley riders told the Honda guy(Shadow 1100) that the Nomad is what he needed to get. The Honda guy said "that's way too much bike for me", kinda made me feel good. The other thing that sets mine off is the black and chrome. It may not be the prettiest or fastest to some, but that chrome stands out a lot better than the other colors (know I'll catch some flak for that). Got my GPS mounted, cell phone holder mounted last week and installed my Large Kury ISO pegs today, man, those things look great. What a great day, Jamie

Sounds like a great ride. Always nice when the Nomad gets some attention from other riders.

I'm sorry, Todd, I should have posted this on the Nomad-related board, wasn't thinking. If you get a chance you might want to move this over. Thanks, Jamie

Oh, what a load of poppy-cock!

Everyone knows the green/silver combo is by far the pageant winner. Black is so last week.

BS, here we go again. They only made blondie one year, and low numbers because it was too fast for most to handle, and way faster than all the other colors.

I never realized your bike was stock. I thought you had it painted. From the pic it's hard to tell exactly what the color is......
Beige/gold ? I always said to myself,..........myself............I'll bet that could be a nice color right up close. (Of course..not as good looking as the black, or as fast as the black). :) :)

Yep, that's a stock color combo from 2002. It's hard to describe, not really gold, not really beige. lol

It does make for a pretty bike, or so I'm told all the time. Wasn't the color I was looking for when I bought it, but it is nice to have one that isn't "like all the others".

Counting mine, I've seen two this color in Middle TN. I know there are others on this board that have it as well.

Definitely the fastest though. lol

Champaine Ain't it?

I got in my first ride today too... All 30 feet, where i could start maint.. Today was the battery box, battery install, and wiring ck in and around the battery box attending to details.

Next will be oil and filter in the AM.. And Some short ride... I ain't got all day to play. And didn't have hardly any of today to play either.

I gotta hunt up a fair to good price on a Dunlop E III this week if I get time. I plan to try out the new to me ratchet strap install for kicks.

Coasters are made and painted.... My air kit is ready to be installed on the rear shocks, and if I can swing it sometime a new trailer hitch either bought or made of my own making will go on this year.

But there are many more unrelated projects all at once..

Garden, lanii, stone walls, gardens, rack body for plow truck and more, car repair, and sugar shack/forge building, and etc etc....

It just seems to me the chrome gets lost on those silver, gold and titanium-looking colors. Jumps out at ya on black, don't lie! Something's making folks stare at my bike. Jamie

Well I like the green on silver in NH, as it looks like a statie bike.. I bought the bike used so had no color choice anyway, but I don't do black and like it much anyway.

Maybe one day I'll paint it, but so far it hasn't spoke to me.

the silver/black are the fastest and the most eye appealing. Like whiskey on ice. :-)
