The following weather is for the Nat. Park Service housing area in Death Valley NP - about 100 employees live there!!

Yep, that's hot all right. It gets that hot here on occasion. Hottest I've seen in 13 years was 119°.

116 is very hot. Noticed the heat index was 106. If it were 116 here in Alabama the heat index would be somewhere around 126.

I understand the that global warming crowd have moved temp monitoring stations in death valley to a spot near some rock cliffs where the heat reflects off the rocks and raises the temp to try to prove global warming is getting worse. "See, it's now hotter than ever before."

Still, a hundred twenty something is over the freakin top. I'm glad I live in Idaho.

This morning it is presently 46* and we are expecting a high of 77*.
I don't wish those temps on anyone, that's my idea of hell.
Guess I'll go for a ride when it warms a little more.

I saw in their predictions for days-ahead for temps of 125 degrees! Geez...

Does anyone really need to live in that area? Really... tell me why that has to be done. Crazy.
