Now I understand..

People born before 1946 were called
The Silent generation..
People born between 1946 and 1964 are called
The Baby Boomers.
People born between 1965 and 1979 are called
Generation X, ...
And people born between 1980 and 2010 are called
Generation Y ,
Why do we call the last group Generation Y?
Y should I go to school?
Y should I get a job?
Y should I leave home and find my own place?
Y should I get a car when I can borrow yours?
Y should I clean my room?
Y should I wash and iron my own clothes?
Y should I take responsibility for myself ?
Y should I get married (so what if I have kids)?
Y should I buy any food?
Y should I stop smoking Pot?
Y should I get off welfare, it's free?
Y should I work ?
Y should I care about tax's, I don't pay any ?

^^^ sad but true. I can't count how many young "apprentices" I've tried to share my skills with who had no initiative beyond their paycheck.

Darth Plumber . . . When your old enough that you start slowing down, they get you to train your own replacements. It's harder than you might think to find someone willing to crawl through sewage on their hands and knees for a living.

That's also why service plumbers make $80K +/yr. Spend wisely young Padewan, and you too may be able to retire early.

I was born in '67 and I have a lot more in common with the Baby Boomers than with Gen X. I don't think I have anything in common with the later Gen Xers.

My Sons were born in '88 and '90 and I am proud to say that the were out and on their own at 18 and 19 years old. When the second one left we sold the house and bought a one bedroom house on a chunk of land so there is no coming back. LOL!
