Road Trip!

In less than two hours, I am officially on a 3-week vacation - the longest I've been able to enjoy since I left the Navy 10 years ago. Ann and I are packing up the bikes and headed to the mountains of New Mexico and southern Colorado for a two week jaunt through the mountains, visiting with family and friends along the way.

We. Cannot. Wait.

We leave tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m., but Ann was packed and had her bike loaded up and ready yesterday morning. This is her first multi-state trip on a motorcycle, and I can almost guarantee she won't sleep much tonight ... neither will I. I find I can barely hold a thought in my head.

I will endeavor to forget about every care in the world. No technology, no computers, no bills, no kids and no job. The Lovely Ann, me and the open road...
