Which Battery and Where to Get It
It is about time to replace the battery on my '01 carbed, but the dealer prices are unbelievable. Any suggestions on what to buy and where is the best place to get a replacement with out using the stock (factory) battery?

I got mine in town at Batteries+. Don't remember what it is off hand but the price was good.

Bought mine 2 weeks ago at BatteryMart.

I just got the battery identified above todayfrom BatteryMart. Well packaged and arrived without incident. So far so good.

Go to batterymart.com like the others have said. Got mine from there and we also just had a member have exceptionally great service from them. There is a post somewhere about it. Don't remember where it is now though.

Everyone who has replied to this tread has a fuel injected bike. Like me, sonny has a carbed 1500 and seems like somewhere I heard that the YTX20CH-BS battery is recommended just for the FI Nomads. I could be wrong, but I have stuck with the YTX16-BS batteries in my carbed Nomad since hearing this.

Good point JD. I plugged in 2001 Nomad on the YUASA website battery selector and both model of battery came up...so I am not sure.

You should be able to choose your make and model on battery mart's website. That's how I found mine.

VN 1500-G is the 1999 model and were all carbed.
