Make my own engine guard chaps

I like to make my own stuff, and am looking at making my own chaps for my engine guard (2003 1500). Anybody have any pictures of your bike with your engine guard chaps on, that you could post on your response? I would like to see how yours fit on the bars, etc. I plan on using velcro to attach them, and maybe make them one piece.

Thanks for your input.
Doug

I don't have any detailed pics of my desert dawg brand. but they wouldn't be hard to make in paper first to make a pattern. These slip on over both sides of the bar, have 3 snaps to close the inner edge, have a velcro tap to wrap around the linkage near the foot boards, and have a common nylon webbing with fastex clips at the top holding the right side to the left above the rad cover mesh.

Mine don't have drink holders or little storage sewn on boxes, they are just plain. They do have a opening for hi way pegs.

Thanks for the help, guys. I really appreciate it.

Mac, sounds just like what I plan to do. But I will add a pocket or two.

Schoeney, thanks for the link. I will check it out. Since you have the same year as I do, it should help a lot.

Jared, Those look great! You say you made them? I am curious; what is the reason you left the large openings on the sides? Does it make it easier to put them on over the highway pegs? What did you use to sew them? and how do they attach?
