That was cool. Didn't know he did that.

Some may not know it, but Gene Simmons is an immigrant (legal) and was listed along side of many immigrants to our country that have through the years demonstrated actions to "give-back" to the USA beyond the normal. ;)

KISS is playing at the North Dakota State Fair tomorrow night. The band and the fair partnered up to donate $1 from every ticket sold to the Wounded Warrior Fund. As of today, there have been 12,000 tickets sold, so you do the math as to how much money that will be. A sellout is 15,000 tickets, so I'm hoping they'll get that. Very nice gesture, I thought.

On this week's season premiere of Gene Simmons' Family Jewels, they had a celebrity roast for Gene. It was funny, although since it was on A&E, the dirty words were bleeped.

At the end he was presented with a flag that had been flown over Fallujah, Iraq in his honor by the Wounded Warrior Foundation. He is one of the celebrities that hasn't turned his back on America and bit the hand that feeds him.

Thanks for a great post.

That's the first KISS music I ever really listened too (as opposed to having it come over the radio beyond my control)

The KISS concert at the ND State Fair last night didn't quite sell out, but they donated over $14,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project. I didn't go to the show, but I hear it was good.
