picture of tank bib not mounted?

Hi folks,

I have a mustang tank bib off my old honda shadow.
It runs the full length of the gas tank, with a small hole for the gas cap.

Looking at it, I am wondering if I can modify it to work with the nomad 1500 - ie cut it down to fit around the guages.

Does anyone have a photo of a tank bib before mounting? Just looking to compare.
I think this might be the ideal - since it would match my mustang seat (incoming)

Thanks
B.

Crap, I had my tank bib off yesterday. If I knew someone would be needing a picture, I'd have taken one.

Thanks!

So when installing the tank bib - is it just attaching in to the bolt at both ends of the tank, or do you slip the bib underneath the instrument cluster and tighten?

(just trying to asses how much of the old one to trim)

The front on the bib just slip under the instrument cluster (you have to loosen it and unclip the front to get the bib under) and then tighten everything down. At the rear there is a leather "sting" (not pictured) that goes through the hole in the bib and is tied down to the bolt that the front seat slide onto.
